Cooking is my happy place
Cooking is my island—a permanent vacation for me. I’ve loved preparing food since I was about eight years old, and when I cook I feel love and peace.
I learned through real kitchens and great mentors
I learned to cook at home, and I was fortunate to have great chef mentors throughout my career who taught me every day. I also studied independently to keep building my skills and knowledge.
I believe food should be celebrated
In my kitchen I sing, play music, and treat every ingredient with respect for its contribution to the dish. I believe a kitchen should never be silent—food is a celebration.
